In March Yellowstone is still a little cold and snowy, but there are not as many people. My sister Sarah and my friend Monica came with me on an unforgettable trip to Wyoming. Yellowstone has been on my list of places to visit again. I got to visit here when I was 8 and have always wanted to go back. Visiting in the winter is not ideal but it is worth it to miss all the summer crowds. The snow adds different a beauty to everything and the animals are a bit easier to spot against the white background.
But the most unique thing about our visit to Yellowstone was going winter camping! We pitched our tent and started our campfire to cook dinner and keep warm until we snuggled into our warm sleeping bags! We heard coyotes in the night as we fell asleep under the bright moon and stars! When we woke up in the morning there were elk just up the hill from us scrounging in the brush! Amazing!!
Me and my traveling buddies!
The hot springs were a little hot!
I was waiting for this guy to cross the creek. But nope. He was just soaking his feet.
Reflections of the sunset on the trees and the moon in the ski! Beautiful!
A little bit of light painting at our camp site!
