Photo Shoot with Snow In Gettysburg
When the weather forecast calls for 4-6 inches of snow....
When the roads are slick with fresh snow...
When the air is brisk and cold...
When the road to the shoot is closed and we have to walk a mile in the snow...
WE STILL SHOOT! We will be there as along as God wills.
In a recent shoot I photographed a couple who was celebrating their 7th wedding anniversary. They had not had any professional photos together since their wedding day. The day of the photo shoot arrived and the forecast was calling for lots of ice and freezing rain. So we postponed the shoot to the next day. That day the forecast was calling for 4-6 inches of snow!
We decided to go for it and take advantage of the beautiful snow! Arriving in Gettysburg Park everything was closed down and the roads were think with slush. I met the Rebekah and Daniel near the visitors center and we drove out to the road leading to Devils Den. What greeted us when we arrived? ROAD CLOSED.
It was only a mile or from there to our destination photo shoot. Rebekah and Daniel are runners and were ready to tackle the snow. So we walked in and had an amazing time just enjoying the fresh snow and shooting away!
That day we were definitely living The Focus Photography motto "Photographing Life's Adventure!"

Some fun facts about this couple..
Daniel is a loving father and husband. He is a web Designer and has a detail oriented personality. Both he and Rebekah are huge history buffs and love exploring!
Rebekah loves her babies and her husband! She is a dula and birthing coach. She loves to run and is training for a half marathon coming up in the spring. She will be wearing combat boots and carrying a 35 lb pack. Raising money for the Wounded Warrior Project. GO REBEKAH!! I will be cheering for you!
Thank you both for being adventurous and traipsing around in the snow with Kim and I! It was so much fun getting to know you both during this photo shoot! I hope we will see each other again soon!
