Last weekend I went with some friends and family to Gettysburg National Military Park. This year was the 150th anniversary of the battle that took place here. We opted to go later in the summer season and avoid all of the tourists who were crowding the streets, causing hours of traffic delays, and boosting the economy of Gettysburg around the 4th of July.
The weather was perfect and the crowds not bad. We spent several hours visiting the historic battlefield and monuments.
